Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Everything you need to know before booking your mobile oil change.

1. What exactly is True Lube Mobile?

True Lube Mobile is a fully mobile oil change service — we bring the shop to you. Instead of sitting in a waiting room, you can stay at home or at work while we handle your oil change on-site. We’re based in the Grand Valley area and serve Grand Junction, Clifton, Fruita, Palisade, and nearby communities.

We provide high-quality oil, filters, and professional service with the same standards as a brick-and-mortar shop — just more convenient and often more affordable.

2. What services do you offer?

We specialize in oil changes using top-quality oil and filters, but we also provide a variety of add-on maintenance services, including:

  • Air and cabin filter replacement

  • Wiper blade replacement

  • Fluid top-offs (washer fluid, brake, power steering, etc.)

  • Tire pressure checks and adjustments

  • Basic multi-point visual inspection

We’ll be expanding our list of services over time, so check back often or ask during your appointment!

3. How does a mobile oil change work?

It’s simple:

  1. Book your appointment online or by phone.

  2. We arrive at your location — home, office, or anywhere with safe vehicle access.

  3. We perform the service in about 30–45 minutes using professional tools and supplies.

  4. You get a text or in-person summary of what was done, and you’re all set to go.

You don’t need to provide any equipment — we bring everything. All you have to do is hand over the keys and relax.

4. Where do you operate?

We proudly serve customers throughout Mesa County and the Grand Valley, including:
Grand Junction, Clifton, Fruita, Palisade, Orchard Mesa, Redlands, and surrounding areas.

If you’re just outside this region, contact us — we may still be able to help or schedule you for an out-of-area service for a small surcharge.

5. Do I need to be home during the service?

Not necessarily. As long as we can safely access your vehicle (e.g., parked in a driveway, parking lot, or accessible area) and you’ve arranged payment, you don’t have to be present.

Many customers schedule while at work or home and come out when the job’s done — easy, no wasted time.

6. How long does an oil change take?

A standard oil change usually takes about 30–45 minutes, depending on the vehicle type, oil capacity, and service location.
We value your time — our goal is to be in and out efficiently while ensuring the job is done right.

7. What kind of oil and filters do you use?

We source our products from reputable suppliers like O’Reilly Auto Parts to ensure quality and consistency.
You can choose from our range of oil types:

  • Conventional

  • Semi-Synthetic

  • Full Synthetic

  • High-Mileage

All packages include a premium oil filter matched to your vehicle. If you have a preferred brand, just let us know — we can usually accommodate it.

8. Are your prices competitive?

Absolutely. We price our services to be as competitive — or cheaper — than most brick-and-mortar shops, especially once you factor in the time and fuel you save by not driving to them.

Every oil change includes:

  • Up to 5 quarts of oil

  • Filter replacement

  • Fluid check and top-offs (excluding coolant)

  • Tire pressure check

Any extra oil beyond 5 quarts or specialty filters are billed at a small additional charge, discussed upfront before service.

9. Do you charge a travel or convenience fee?

Our travel cost is already built into your package price for most of the Grand Valley area.
If you’re outside our standard zone, we may add a small distance surcharge — but we’ll always let you know before confirming your appointment.

10. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept:

  • Cash

  • Debit and credit cards

Payment is typically completed at the beginning of the service. Business fleet customers can request invoicing options.

11. Do you offer receipts or service records?

Yes — you’ll always receive a digital receipt after each appointment showing the oil type, filter used, and any additional services performed.
This serves as your maintenance record and can be shown to dealerships or kept for resale value.

12. What happens to my used oil and filter?

We properly collect and dispose of used oil and filters in compliance with all environmental regulations.
Nothing is ever left behind — we keep your property clean and your conscience clear.

13. Can you perform oil changes on all vehicles?

We can service most cars, trucks, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles.
For lifted trucks, performance vehicles, or anything unusual, just let us know during booking so we can confirm clearance and oil requirements.
We currently do not service motorcycles or heavy-duty diesel trucks, but that may change in the future.

14. Do you do fleet maintenance for businesses?

Yes! We offer custom fleet maintenance programs for businesses that need regular vehicle upkeep.
We’ll come to your location, service multiple vehicles in one visit, and help you stay on top of intervals — saving you both time and labor costs.
Fleet customers can request priority scheduling and invoicing options.

15. What if it’s raining or snowing?

We can still work in light weather conditions if there’s a safe area available (garage, carport, or covered lot).
In severe weather, we’ll contact you to reschedule at no charge — safety always comes first.

16. Do you offer any guarantees?

Yes — every service we provide comes with our True Lube Satisfaction Guarantee.
If there’s ever a concern about your service, we’ll make it right. We stand by our workmanship and always put customer trust first.

17. Do you top off other fluids too?

Yes. During each oil change, we check and top off the following (as needed and available):

  • Windshield washer fluid

  • Power steering fluid

  • Brake fluid
(Coolant is checked but not topped off without prior approval due to system type and cost.)

18. How often should I change my oil?

It depends on your vehicle and oil type, but most modern vehicles using synthetic oil should be serviced every 5,000–7,500 miles or roughly every 6 months.
Older vehicles or those using conventional oil may need changes around 3,000–5,000 miles.
We’ll note your next recommended change date on your receipt and an oil change sticker placed in your window for convenience.

19. What if I have an oil leak or mechanical issue?

If we notice an oil leak or any abnormal issue during your service, we’ll document it and advise you before completing the job.
While we don’t perform heavy mechanical repairs, we can refer you to trusted local shops that do.

20. How do I book an appointment?

You can book directly through our website or by calling us at (Click Here).
Simply choose your oil package, provide your vehicle info, and pick a convenient time.
We’ll confirm your appointment and show up ready to go — no waiting rooms, no hassle.

21. Can I cancel or reschedule?

We understand that life happens — there’s no fee for reasonable reschedules.

22. Why should I choose True Lube Mobile over a regular shop?

Because we save you what’s most valuable — your time.
With us, there’s:

  • No waiting room.

  • No upselling pressure.

  • No wasted gas driving back and forth.

You get a trusted, transparent service at your doorstep for a fair price. That’s what True Lube Mobile stands for.
